  1. Terms and Conditions. These terms and conditions (Terms) form an agreement between Fortis Caravans Limited, 10 Downing Street, Palmerston North 4412 (Fortis) and entrants in relation to the Ranger Giveaway promotion (Promotion). For the purposes of these Terms, reference to “entrants” is a reference to the party entering the Promotion. By participating in this Promotion, entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms.
  2. Promotion period. The Promotion opens at 3:00pm on 1 August 2026 (NZST) and ends at 3:00pm on 10 October 2026 being the date of the draw (Promotion Period).
  3. Eligibility. Open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over, with a current, valid New Zealand driver licence, and legally able to register and operate the vehicle. Employees of Fortis and their immediate families are not eligible. Fortis may verify an entrant’s identity and eligibility at any time, and may disqualify any entry that is fraudulent, ineligible, duplicated, or does not comply with these Terms. Qualifying purchases are those with a 10% deposit paid to Fortis during the Promotion Period.
  4. How to enter. A person is automatically entered into the draw when they pay a qualifying deposit on the purchase of a Fortis caravan, direct from Fortis only, during the Promotion Period. Entries are allocated by unit type: Stock units (existing floor stock): two (2) entries. New builds (made-to-order): one (1) entry. Plus one (1) bonus entry for any purchase made at either of the two Fortis Caravans dealership events held during the Promotion Period, being one event in the North Island and one event in the South Island. So a stock unit purchased at a dealership event receives three (3) entries; a new build purchased at a dealership event receives two (2) entries. There is no cost to enter beyond the normal purchase price of the caravan; the entry weighting above is applied automatically.
  5. Payment method. All deposits and payments must be made by bank transfer, EFTPOS or card.
  6. The prize. One (1) 2026 Ford Ranger XLT V6 4WD in Shadow Black — fully built and tow-ready — supplied through Ford Palmerston North, including on-road costs and registration. Approximate total prize value: $86,000, inclusive of GST. This figure is substantiated by a line-item schedule held on file (vehicle RRP, on-road costs and registration, plus each accessory, the wrap and fitment). The prize is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. There is one prize. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Fortis may substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Prize values stated are correct at the time of publication and may differ at the time of the draw.
  7. Claiming the prize. To take delivery of the vehicle, the winner must, at the time of handover, have paid at least 50% of their caravan’s purchase value and hold a current, non-cancelled order with Fortis. The winner must arrange collection of the prize from Fortis Caravans, Palmerston North (or a Ford dealership nominated by Fortis) within ten (10) working days of confirming they meet these conditions. The winner must hold a current, valid New Zealand driver licence and provide photo identification so the vehicle can be registered in their name, and must be legally able to register and operate the vehicle. If the winner subsequently cancels their qualifying purchase, Fortis reserves the right to require the winner to return the prize to Fortis, or if the prize cannot reasonably be returned, reimburse Fortis for the value of the prize.
  8. The draw. One winner will be drawn at random on 10 October 2026, at Fortis Caravans, Palmerston North. The draw will be conducted by an independent third party appointed by Fortis and will be live-streamed for transparency.
  9. Notification & publication. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email within two (2) business days of the draw, and announced on Fortis’s website and social media channels. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that Fortis holds correct contact details for the entrant. By entering, entrants consent to their name being published if they win. The entrants may, at their discretion, consent to Fortis using their name, likeness, image, and any video or photography of them taken in connection with the Promotion for Fortis’s marketing and publicity, without further compensation. The winner may, at their discretion, sign a media release before any footage of them is published. Participation in any promotional or marketing material in connection with the Promotion is entirely voluntary.
  10. Unclaimed prize / redraw. If the winner cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days of the draw, or does not meet the claim conditions in clause 7, Fortis will redraw an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries. These Terms apply to a redrawn winner as if they were the original winner.
  11. Cancellations. If a qualifying purchase is cancelled, the associated entry (or entries) is void. Deposits are handled in accordance with Fortis’s standard deposit and cancellation policy.
  12. Privacy. To participate in this Promotion, certain personal information is required to be provided to Fortis by entrants. This includes personal information submitted by the entrants as part of their entry into the Promotion (such as name and contact details). Such personal information will be used by Fortis for the purposes of conducting this Promotion. Additional personal information may be collected, as set out in these Terms, including photographs and videos of the entrants that may be used for future promotion and marketing purposes. Fortis will handle personal information in accordance with Fortis’s privacy policy and the Privacy Act 2020. To access or correct your personal information that Fortis holds about you, please contact marketing@fortisgroup.co.nz. By choosing not to provide us with the personal information required by these Terms, customers will not be able to enter the draw. Consent for ongoing marketing, if any, is obtained separately.
  13. General & liability. To the extent permitted by law, Fortis excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from or in connection with: (a) the winner’s acceptance, use, or ownership of the vehicle after delivery; (b) any defect, fault, servicing issue or manufacturer recall relating to the vehicle; or (c) any matter beyond Fortis’s reasonable control affecting the conduct of the Promotion. Fortis is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. The winner accepts the vehicle at their own risk, and all risk in the vehicle passes to the winner on delivery; the winner indemnifies Fortis against any loss, damage, cost or claim arising from their possession or use of the vehicle. Fortis is not responsible for any prize component supplied by a third party (including accessories, or fitment by partners), which carry only the relevant manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty. Fortis may amend, suspend or withdraw the Promotion where necessary for reasons outside its reasonable control or as required by law. The Promotion is a sales promotion scheme under the Gambling Act 2003. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights and remedies under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. These include that you are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a failure of a substantial character. If the failure amounts to that of a substantial character, you are entitled to a replacement and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in these terms will affect these legal rights.
  14. Winner’s responsibilities. Once the vehicle is delivered, the winner is responsible for all ongoing costs of the vehicle, including registration renewals, insurance, servicing, maintenance, fuel, road user charges and any applicable taxes. The vehicle is covered by the manufacturer’s standard new-vehicle warranty.
  15. Social media. Where the Promotion is run or promoted via social media, it is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube).
  16. Disputes. To the extent permitted by law, any disputes relating to this Promotion must be submitted in writing to Fortis as soon as possible and within 14 days of the relevant event resulting in the dispute occurring.
  17. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
